Ike Nwachukwu is a Professor of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Nigeria. He holds diverse academic qualifications including a B.Sc. in Mass Communication and Sociology from the University of Lagos and a Ph.D. from Obafemi Awolowo University.
With over two decades of experience, he has successfully supervised twenty-two Ph.D. students and authored more than eighty research papers. He has consulted for nine local and foreign organizations and served as a Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow, UK.
In 2012, he served as a Senior Research Adviser at Shell Petroleum Development Company and is currently a member of the Federal Government’s Agricultural Extension Transformation Agenda.
